Default Ill try it here

I posted this on the hybrid forum and got 1 response. I think ill fare better here with all the LS guys.

am going to the track for the first time w/ my B20 HB. I have been there before w/ my B16 Turbo hatch
and ran a 12.7 so I am a pretty good driver.

Its a 97 HB w/ minor weight reduction
JDM b20b
Short ram DAC
DC 4-1 USDM 2' collector
2"1/4 piping
no AC
B16a tranny
Lightened Flywheel

I hope to run @ least a 15.3-15.5

The B20 thing is new to me so I dont know what to expect

Care to take a guess on ET and MPH

you can expect a mid 14, guy here is running an identical settup but in an EG and he got a 14.2 once again though it depends on track contitions and weather.
EDIT: just realized you have a b16 tranny, take that mid 14 and add a 1/2 second cause unfortunatedly youre going to have to shift into 5th! yeah a friend of mine has that engine tranny settup on a eg coupe and a 15flat was the best he could get mostly because of the 5th gear shift

my buddy has a 90 civic hatch with a b20, clutch master stage 3 and aluminum flywheel, dc headers, AEM short ram intake, some wieght reduction(passenger seat, back seat, door panels, etc.) , msd dual stage set up complete kit, ported intake manifold, b16 cable tranny LSD, camgears and camshaft, and some minor bolt-ons, slicks on all 4 wheels

run's consistant high 13's with bolt on's w/ nothing major internal

i say you should run low 15's high 14's

You should be an easy high 14s car...You have to remember your running a b20 with no vtec so your not gonna have and high end power...and with the b16 trannys short gears your gonna fly through first and second so your gears that have all the torque wont last long...so you probably wont be as fast as you think but you will move...Once you do vtec and put an LSD in your tranny you will be a street beast!...youll have all the low end torque and the top end vtec to accomedate it...If you really wanna get nasty...put a vtec controller(Apexi)....And set your vtec at about 4500...Your gonna be going through axles like nothing...

yea, i dont think ill go into fith yet. I did use fith in the B16a turbo because I was trapping a 112 MPH but i dont expect my MPH to be better than low 90 high 80's. I never though the B16 tranny would hurt me but it does make sense. i may look into getting a GSR one.

Best run was a
15.6@ 88.53 MPH
60 foot was 2.4.

I could not use the torque to my advantage as I did not bring slicks.
I was using my 16 inch rota c8's and i was not able to lanch like i do in the street. I know th car definatelly has 14's all over it but yesterday was a bit frustrating. It completely diferent to any Vtec engine.

well if depends on the computer youre running, he was running an Ls computer and he has to shift into 5th, it'll depend on your redline

well doing the math 7k in 4th with 205-50-15's will put you at 99mph.. jdm fd and its a 91mph.... either way your not shifting into 5th with an 88 mph trap
