Well yesterday my car decided to automatically shut off while cruising on the highway...luckily i got it to start up again after about 3 tries while still rolling...it ran fine for about an hour then all of a sudden died again at a stop light...this time i couldnt get it to start at all...i got it towed home and jumped on HT and searched and found out it was my ignition switch...I know i have spark and fuel, but the only way to keep the car running was to hold the key in a certain spot...

so today i got a new ignition switch from Acura (part number 35130-st7-a01 ?) and swapped it out 5 mins ago...problem now is that my key wont turn at all...i tried moving the steering wheel to lock it in place, but it doesnt even lock...once i plugged the two connectors i noticed that my stereo light was on, and that i could turn it on without the key in? anyone know what the problem is? maybe i got an automatic ignition switch?

my car stalled and i had to push it through traffic to a parking lot =\
the problem i found was that my fuse blew out

try checking ur fuse

 

naw it was my starter switch...i just figured it out...the brand new switch was on the "ON" position, which was the reason my radio turned on as soon as i plugged the plug in...i just turned it to the "OFF" position with a screwdriver and everything works now...
