ignition switch
I have a 2001 integra ls and my car got broken into last weekend and they broke my ignition switch( where i put the key in to start the car ). When i go to junkyard to look for an ignition switch, do I need to look for a 2000-2001 ignition switch or i can use other years? then do i need to bring it to the dealer to reprogram it to match the key bcus it is chipped? The car right now crank and stuff but it wouldn't start and how do i know if they bend my steering column? bcus i want to do everything at once before bringing it to the dealership for reprogram.
I believe you can source the ignition from the junkyard and its a direct replacement because it will come with its own key! ive done it on my old 93 ls i dont see anything diffrent if i did it to my 98" gsr. its the same model as your 2001 ls.
Yes your motor will take a big fat crap on you and run like its running on poop lol. it will run that motor like ****, think about it the gsr motor is vtec and is a completly diffrent motor/ a.f tables ect. get sum mods then get a chipped ls ecu!
