ok first what the car is doing. when i turn the key the lights come on but thats it. what i have tried. 1. replaces the clutch pedal switch, 2. replaces starter, 3. replaced the ignition switch. i have tried 3 different starters. i can short out the starter and/or push start it and it will fire up every time. i am just running out of ideas on what it could be. if anyone has any ideas please post them.

 

check your alternator. and maybe check the ignition and starter wiring under your steering wheel to see if its loose

 

ok thanks, i will check the wires right now and have the alternator checked tomorrow when i go to work.if both of those are good then what? In my mind my next step would be to rewire the whole ignition system and put in a push button or a toggle ignition. but dont really want to do this if it is not the problem.

 

ok update on my 94 GSR. starter good,wires good/tight,all relays and fuses good,clutch pedal switch good but still wont fire with out push starting and/or shorting out starter. i am out of idea please give me your ideas
