Idling Problems
I gotta big problem with my integra LS. I recently was driving around and went to a stop. I noticed that my rpm was fluctuating slowly from 750-to 1,500rpm. After 5 seconds later, the idling bounces heavily to 1,500rpm while throwing a check engine light. Whats going on? I'm guessing it was from boring out my throttle body because i recently shipped it out to a machine shop. Everytime i'm at a complete stop, the same idling problem will happens again. help
please search "idle" in the "search" function. This is the first time for me telling ppl to search, but I have replied to this same exact problem at least 15 times in the past month.
actually i feel like an *** now for that. Your problems sounds like clogged or bad IACV. check the cel code, its probobly either a 14 or 24, for got which code it is. My car did the same ****.
warm up car to full op temp. pull off harness on iacv, and if idle does not fluctuate more or stall, it is clogged or bad.
Take off iacv, clean out with carb cleaner and watch all the black **** come out. Install again, and reset ecu. If does not solve, replace iacv, check for vacume leaks, air pockets in cooling system.
btw, iacv stand for idle air control valve. it is located right on the back of the intake mani, harness is a 2p connector on the bottom of the vavle.
