Ok got a 1990 Acura integra for my little brother for his first car. Got it for next to free but it has 220 thousand miles but runs great and is in good shape. One problem.

It idles high then low back and forth. it will not just idle at 600. It will be at 600 then go to 1200 then back to 600 and so on.

any ideas? PCV, Idole control sensor?

clean the pcv, and check the throttle cable. u can adjust the idle with a screw on the TB. is it throwing any codes?

check under ur throtle body...take off ur fast idle take it apart..inside is a plastic screw..tighten it all the way..that will def take care of it
