I'm having extremely high idle rpms problem. The tach just sits at 2k even after hours of running. I tried messing around with the idle adjusting screw on the throttle body w/ insignificant results. Are there any other places where I could adjust the idle rpm? or What are the common problems that could affect the idle rpm on a car with 150k miles? Thanks for your help in advance.

Heard of that problem before.. Are you sure it's not your throttle body??

 

vaccum hoses possibly??? did you check all of them?

 

ah shiznit......I hope it's not a vacuum hose....damn it!

I guess I'll have to just get a bucket of soapy water and find out myself.

Could be a vacum source but I doubt your car would idle at 2g's. Check, map, iac, tps, and most importantly the throttle body.
