idiotic question
im listening to yall talk about springs, and you go in to all these numbers. spring rates front and rear so on and so forth. but I dont understand what these #'s represent. if I want my car to feel like a 2003 bmw m3, will i need to match the spring rate? or because my teg is lighter will do i need to go whith a different spring rate?
Please educate me

A spring rate is a measure of how stiff the spring is. For example "350 kg/mm". That means it takes the force of 350 kilograms to compress the spring one millimeter. "500 lb/in" = 500 pounds to compress one inch.
Just upgrading springs won't make your car handle like an M3. You have to decide what your goal is and upgrade accordingly.

spring rates work like this... a 200lb spring will compress one inch for every 200 lbs of force put onto it. of course please correct me if i am wrong anyone. and to get your car to feel like a 2003 M3 it will take a lot more than just springs
would take new springs shocks (that are valved correctly to match the spring rates and motion ratios) and prolly even better geometry as far as the suspension goes. just my .02

well I bought some h&r's sports but know im thinking that wasnt the best buy, foer what my goal is. if I could get a sold answer on how to make my car drive like one. Im a bmw tech and could get any info needed for a proper answer
Trying to get an INtegra to handle like a BMW is like trying to bump uglies with a fat chick but wanting it to feel like a skinny chick. Its IMPOSSIBLE!
BMW is known for their outstanding handling abilities and no mere spring or coilover system will make an acura/honda feel like one.
Set realistic goals, my friend!

to handle like one?
you can begin upgrading you front and sway bars, I think ssuspension technique offer a 24mm rear bar.
,most people just get the 22mm itr bar sincve it's more price/performance efficient
but it will never handle anywhere near a bmw, not even a 318
