Default quick question about progressive spring rates

on progressive rate springs they have say 275lb spring rate, but is that 275lb static then when theyre compressed they go up from there? or is 275lb the max spring rate at full/nearly fully compression?
thanks

Usually, manufacturers give you the range of the spring rate for a given progessive spring, like 135-210#s. Most times, if they say the spring is rated at 275#s progressive, then that's the max spring rate under load. I'd call the vendor or manufacturer to be sure.
