Default I need help with troubleshooting please??

Hello all great Acura/Honda drivers,

I am trying to figure out a issue I am having with my 1992 Integra GS. This morning the engine light came on and thought oh no. Well I drove to work with no problems mechanically. I thought well it is time for my O2 sensor to be replaced very soon before my inspection. The car never cutoff what so ever. When I was leaving to go home the car cranked up fine. While driving up to about 3,500rpm the car acted like it wanted to cutout on me but never did completely and kept driving on interstate until I got home.

I pulled to a side street and the engine light was still on and I pushed the accelerator to see how many rpms would be limited until any sputter of any sort. I noticed when I got to 3,500rpms it did it all the time. So I cut the car off and restarted so the light went off and I pushed the accelerator and rpms went over 5,500 without a problem several times and no engine light ever came on. Does anyone have any suggestions or part I need to replace?? The car starts fine.

Thanks for the help,
Charles

The CEL code is stored. You can pull it. Check out the FAQ or go to a local parts store where they will pull it for free.

Why would you rev your car over 5,500 in nuetral? I wouldn't do this if my car was running perfect, let alone if it's giving me troubles.
