i need to replace the spring loaded bracket that pushes teh ignition from the start position back to the on position. i have no idea how to do this seeing as how i am not a mechanic. so if someone could tell me what that part is even called and how to change it out, that would be very nice
You probably need a new ignition switch.

the part im talking about is right inside the hole for the key and tumbler cylinder, there is a spring loaded braket they when u turn on ur car and let go of the key, it pushes the cylinder back to to on position. this is a spring issue. the spring has worn out and has like no recoil. the car turns on just fine if i manually reposition the key to the on position. the spring is not strong enough to turn the cylinder back to on from start.
this part is right infront of the pat #4 on teh diagram, teh sideways part almost looks like a flashlight. the spring should be located tot he left of the number 9.
i have no idea what the part is called or how to change out that spring or bracket
