In Japan they are the Honda Integra. So to each his own. It doesn't hurt to have options.

IMO:

1. Red Honda emblem (looks great)
2. Original Acura emblem (looks good, since its the stock one)
3. Red Acura emblem (i dont like the look of it, weird.)
4. Original Honda emblem (looks too plain)

but then again. shaved > all

Acura is just a name. Outside of North America, there is no Acura. It's just a status symbol for us Americans to think we're driving a nicer car, or to justify an $80K+ price tag for a Honda (NSX).

I had them before I had the bodywork done on my car, all OEM emblems:

I liked the way they looked, but IMHO shaved is definitely the way to go. Also I was told by cops on a couple different occasions that having Honda emblems on it was a "no-no" *roll eyes*

BTW what's so wierd about red A emblems? USDM ITR's have them. I wouldn't put red emblems of any kind on my car, though.

I was pulled over a few months ago and the cop was dumbfounded. He called it in as a Honda Integra, then when he got the registration, he was like "I thought this was a Honda, that's what I called in" So I informed him it is the same thing. He just scratched his head and walked back to his patrol car.

Yeah it's not so much JDM, it's more anti USDM

Actually...

Japan will launch the Acura luxury brand by Fall 2008 with approx 100 dealers. Their reasoning is that the Acura brand will offer distinctive products with a core focus on advanced, leading edge technologies that are always ahead of the times.

Anyhow...I totally agree with the whole shaved look. As for me, shaved emblems, rear wiper, rear squirter, antenna, moldings, and front license plate holder

i was considering a civic, too. wanted a CRX originally. interior and exterior styling is better on an integra. the seats actually hold you better than a civic's. and engine is a b-series. overall better car to start out with.

it shouldn't be that big of a deal. if you don't like it, then that's cool. if you do, that's cool too. everybody has their own taste and whatnot, but yeah, i do agree that a lot of the cars on here do look like many others. just varies in paint and wheels. and emblems shouldn't really matter either, we all know what the car is, bottom line, it's an integra. i guess you could argue the same thing with the DC5. i see some people flossin integra emblems on their USDM DC5 not to mention with a matching/mismatching honda emblem. (just depends on what side you're on.) but i personally am a fan of the complete shaved look.
