I am looking for HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a all motor intera ls automatic. It has a bad hesitation/bogging off the line during the first 2-5sec it is also running lean I have melted one set of pluggs and dont want to distroy my motor. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I have had the car tuned w/ wideband. I also have replaced the fuelpump.
Alright check this out. being a Honda, there are aonly a few things that can create a lean condition. They are as follows:
-Low fuel pressure (fuel pump, fuel filter, pressure regulator)
-Too much oxygen in exhaust (exhaust leak before the o2 sensor, or a misfire)
-A dead os2 that registers lean
-Low battery voltage
Since I'm assuming you don't have a multimeter or fuel pressure gauge ($$) i would first check for a misfire-
pull each spark plug wire one by one- if you notice a drop in RPM that cylinder is ok- no drop, then the cylinder is dead. Swap the plug and wire to another cylinder and see if the problem moves- if it does, buy new plugs'n' wires, if not, it's either the injector or that cylinder's got no compression.
If they all have a drop in RPM, then i'd recommend replacing whichever's cheaper - o2s or fuel pressure regulator.
It could also be your coil. cause a misfire when you first step on the gas. to check that, get a HEI ignition tester at autozone (Like $5) and see if it's got spark. With 25,000 volts, that coils good.
Hope that helps?
If not, the dealership can figure it out
