Default Hydrolocked Engine?

Hey I have a question about hydrolocked engines. No it has not happened to me, I was just thinking while driving home.

If you have full coverage insurance, would you be able to claim it on insurance? I mean rainfall, ice/snow melting after all is a cause of nature. So if a result of that hydrolocked your engine would there be any way for insurance to look at it and pay for it. Just a thought, anybody have any experience with it? Because if a tree limb falls on your car most insurance companies will pay for it if you have full coverage, so wouldn't this be under the same thing about, natural disaster type?

yes. I hydrolocked mine driving through like 2 inches of rain, and insurance paid for a salvage engine... Kinda shitty because I've had bad luck, but then again it could be mechanics preference.
My insurance company was really easy to get along with though... I have a 99 gsr, I hydrolocked my engine in June of 2006, and they came out, quoted my car to be worth 16k, so there werent any hassles when buying a new engine. They even paid for a warranty on the salvage engine(thank god, because I needed it).

I have full coverage with allstate by the way.

Good info, I'm glad I was not just thinking crazy **** when I thought that insurance should pay for it. Thanks. I can put that out of my mind then. I just was thinking about it because today I drove through a large puddle (melted snow) with my 98 GSR, and it just got me thinking.
