Default hydrolocked???

ok, i was drivin back frm somewhere , on my way there were all these cars tryna merge left and into intersection so to avoid an accident i went to the far left lane and bam engine cut off as i was sittin in a foot n half of water..cut the engine and pushed the car too high ground...tried crankin it a cpl times but it wouldnt. took of aem cai and it was full of water . so i waited a lil longer and the cranked it again to no avail. 5 mins later tried crankn it again and it was real weak startup so i gave it some gas and it picked up rpms. there was white smoke coming out of the exhaust and i was stranded so i drove it home, 5 mins away. the smoking seems to have stoped and car seems to run normal under those rpms....question is did i do any bad damage to it. twice when i tried crankn it it made this loud grinding noise and then stoped. the cars in the garage and i dont even wanna touch it...do i still got a hydrolock problem if the car can start? plz help

I heard of people doing the same thing and it took a few months to "kick-in" and threw a rod. But I'll let other people who experienced this answer. Most I heard of was people would just cut the engine off and leave it off, cus revving it would suck in more and if you let go of the gas it should just close the throttle plate and cut the engine off by itself. but like I said, I'll let the more experienced people answer.

well i dunno , i hope it wont throw a rod in a cpl months..im not gonna drive it until i have too, hopefully the motor is ok. im gonna put back the stock intake and see later. damnt please dont bust on me... when i hit the flood i saw all the water and took my foot of the gas and put the car in neutral and it just rolled through and then cut off. i was still in the water . so pushed it out finally.

well if you bent a rod...the damage is already done...From what I understand it will just be a matter of time before it just craps out. I like the DIY intake if you are in the clear...they say no chace of hydrolock...I took mine off to when my car shut off on me.
