Default Hydrolock

I have a diy ram air setup that sucks air from underneath where a cai filter sits. The tube comes out the bottom in front of the tire. Do I have to completely submerge the opening of the tube for hydrolock or will just partially putting it in the water do it too?

If anybody tells me to take my foot off the gas while I'm going through a puddle I'm going to kill them.

take your foot off the pedal when going through a puddle

it must be completely submerged in order for the suction affect to bring the water up to filter level. Drill a small hole in the bottom of your setup and the problem is solved.
