one of the best, if not the best, header on the market for B series motors. And if you saw one for about $400, it has to be either a replica or someone selling a used one for a really good price.

Depends on which DC header you're looking at. They won't produce as much horsepower as a hyech, rage, rmf, smsp, etc., but it depends on how you will be using your car. These race headers generally give you amazing top end. Right now im using a DC JDM header in my R and its ok for now.

i dont know where you found a set of hytech headers for 400...but i doubt thats the actual price for "real" ones...it was probably a tri y hytech replica, which retail for about 400-500.
real hytech and smsp race headers go for over a thousand dollars easy.
toda, mugen, spoon etc go for almost 1,000.
hytech, smsp, dtr etc are the best headers for performance that you can get, however, they are very expensive...
i have never been in a car with those top of the line race headers, but from multiple proven dynos, i heard the hytech give outstanding whp results...

there have been many people that say the replica hytech header is actually a pretty good deal for the money...the design is actually taken right from hytech themselves, and is considered their "production" line replica of the real race header.
the topic has been covered many times before, but im sure the quality is up there with some of the name brand headers.

A real hytech, aka not one of the production headers, is only sold through hytech themselves for about $1100. There's also usually a long wait for them to make it for you. The only place you can get a hytech is from hytech, so there's no way he found them online and bought 6 of them.

They have to be the production/replica ones. From what I've heard, those are still really good, but they're not true hytechs and they cost around $400-600.

there are two versions of hytech headers. the first is the custom one off version's they make to suit your particular engine application. these are $1200+. the second are the production headers which are near identical copies of the custom pieces with a few differences. mainly no anti-reversion chambers and they're more of a "one size fits all" design.

if you're looking to extract every bit of power from your build, these headers are the way to go.

not true. real hytech production headers are actual hytech designs they had mass produced by a third party. the replica's copied these designs of course.

No real Hytech is gonna sell for $400. These headers are a work of art, arguably the best you can get, period dot bingo. I have the full Hytech exhaust system, header, cat, and exhaust. I haven't been able to dyno tune the car since I installed everything because my engine isn't 100% healthy. I went to the track after installing everything, missed a shift and overreved a bit. Need to pull the head and take a look around before I subject it through dyno pulls.

whoever buys a 1000$ header for a 4 cylinder engine has a brain tumor.

so do people that buy an aluminum pipe for $200-300. only difference is these headers actually make power.
