This isnt a noob question but for some reason i cant seem to break the bolt for the spare wheel. The screw is like dead lock on it. I sprayed wd-40 and Pb Blaster and it still didnt seem to move at all. Is there a tool i need to remove it? because when i bought the car it only came with the spare tire no jack or tools.

Yes i tired to remove it but all i did was just belt the metal piece

did you try twisting the thing? thats how mine works. its just like a big screw. if its stuck, or it just spins in place, i guess the only thing to do is cut the bolt and replace it, hacksaw should do the job

Try prying upwards on the tire while turning the bolt. You probably have an area of stripped threads.

what are you using to turn the bolt? maybe try putting vicegrips/waterpump pliers on it to get some leverage?

Are you sure you have enough muscle to turn it? Maybe find something longer(pipe) to get some leverage on it.

same with my eg it gets stuck and you have to cut it, if water leaked in there before, it rusts the bolt and you cant open, it sounds like you may need to cut the bolt, first try some pilers to open it then if not cut away

I used a tire iron to try to turn it thats how i bent the metal.

vise grips and brute force, if not cut it

get something like long plier nose, so you can grap that flat are all the way. not just end part. (you already bent it. lol)

PB blaster and a torch, heat up the spinning thing, put on some gloves, grab your vice grips and go to town

I've been stranded by the side of the road for an hour because two of us can't get the frozen screw loose that's holding the donut spare in the trunk.

We've doused it with penetrating oil but no luck.

What an idiotic way to secure a piece of equipment that's only used in rare emergencies.

I've sent my friend to the store to see if he can buy a bigger wrench but if not I'll be paying $100 for a tow because Honda for all it's tech genius couldn't come up with a reliable way to secure a spare tire.
