going dyno on the 20th, and just wondering what kinda numbers i'll be looking at

here are my mods:

stock intake pipe and filter
dc 4-1 header
2.25" test pipe
2.25" exhaust, straight thru hayame muffer
act xt00
18 degree timing
skunk2 intake manifold
b&m fpr
v-afc

someone said around 165 or so, but since my motor was kinda strong out of the box i'm thinking 170 or so. any ideas?

I have I/H/E, ITR cams, VAFC. What numbers should I expect when I goto the Dyno and Tune it??

 

I would expect high 160's low 170's somewhere.

 

I agree...I have i/h/e/pulleys and my mechanic friend thinks I'm at about 160 whp on my GS-R.

 

why dont you get an aem cai before going in for dyno.

 

because i'm poor....ill probably dyno w/ the filter off, since thats how i run it at the track

 

165WHP Corrected TOPS! unless you've got one hell of a super tuner. You won't see a big increase, and not even huge then, until you do internal work(ie. cams and pistons). I increased 17whp with my signature over my first dyno of 158whp (I/IM/H/C/E and no tuning). I'll give you 7whp for the timing, testpipe, and VAFC.

Do you have a chip for you Skunk2 IM? I don't know what all that will do to hp, but it modifies the ECU so it doesn't open the secondary intake runners now that you have a single stage manifold.

and no chip, not that it matters cuz the secondaries aren't there so it doesn't matter if the computer tries to activate them or not

 

it does more than just control the secondaries, it has new fuel/timing maps for the flow characheristics of the new IM, I belive. Check out http://www.hyperducktuning.com/ they have the Spoon ECU, and you get another free program (I'd go with the JUN) free, only $60 bucks for a kit to chip it yourself, but more if you send it to them. Check out the website for info. Plus, you get a raised rev limit, which would help when you add cams (Skunk2 Stage 2 ). With those you can get Portflow inner/ITR outer and retainer combo for only $320 and you'd have yourself a fast *** car.
