Default How much difference will Cam Gears make?

What difference will aftermaket Cam Gears with stock cam shafts make?

Which Cam Gears would you guys recommend?

every engine will respond diffrently to cam timing changes. some people say they gained only 2-3hp peak which is about normal but you can gain up to 10-15hp in the midrange area with lots of torque too.

but then again those are just figures. the cam gears will help any engine they just have to be tuned correctly.

hummm. i need to get me some cam gears, i still have my old stock cam gears in the car, maybe after i get my tranny fixed ill get a pair. which are the best ones out there on the market to get.

I dont think cam gears will "give" you that much HP. Esp on a non-vtec LS. However they do allow you to move HP and Torque to a more usefull RPM range.

Pretty worthless on stock cams. You can move power around but nothing too spectacular. 10-15hp isnt gonna happen on stock camshafts.

Your peak hp may be only 3-4 hp but you low and mid range will pick up more.

as for an opion on type(since nobody touched that)
Id go with unorthodox or toda.
aem sucks! the bolts stips to easily

Has anyone heard anything good on the Skunk2 cam gears. I know they have 6 bolts instead of the 3 that AEM has, does that make any difference.
