Default How much boost can a

Stock LS bottom end with 60k on it handle? I am planning on staying NA with no vtec but something inside of me sparked and made me want to calculate piecing together a turbo kit. However when all is said and done custom or kit it's a crap of money including low comp pistons & shotpeened rods & arp bolts etc.

Would the stock bottom end be fine with a tuned (A/F, ignition wise) 5-7lbs? How much hp would 5-7lb give on a nonvtec honda. Thanks

Ask the FI forum. Need to know what fuel system, fuel management, what turbo specs, etc.

6-7lbs would be safe. Run a compression test and leakdown prior to boost install, too.

vtec: so 6-7psi would be safe with a T60?

sorry man, but you can't say "6-7psi would be safe." without knowing the actual specs of the turbo, fuel setup, etc, etc.

Most aftermarket kits will run you $3k for the turbo/piping/fuel system...
figure another 500 for a clutch, installed...
install on the turbo will vary...if you can do the labor, all the better.

if your LS has compression numbers better than 170, id say go for it.

with the above mentioned stuff, you could run 7 lbs daily for a long time.
