As long as you know how much your car takes, then its easier to do it by the speed sensor. -

Make sure your car is level if you're filling through the fill hole.

Its either Imperial or Metric not Standard. And it is only stupid to those who can't tell the differnece and can't comprehend that the American way is not always the only way.
