how do you remove valves?
i got my head a couple nights ago and i took it apart today, the injectors and rail came out easy, IM and TB all related parts came off pretty easy, the roller arms arent even attached so those came off, but i dont see how to get the retainers out to get to the springs to get the valves out...do i need a special tool?
also when i get all my new parts in and put the head back together how do i make sure its all "in time"?
thanx for the help guys

Well the smarter way is to buy a spring compressor. That'll allow you to remove the keepers and pick the retainer up. Then uncompress the springs and pull them out.
The quickest/cheapest way is to grab a socket and a BFH - place the socket on the top of the retainer and
. Be careful not to hit it awkwardly and bend a valve.
Have fun. BTW, this should've been posted in the 'Tech' forum.
