ok so this is kind of a noob question, but i have coilovers on my integra and dont know how to adjust them. its got like a red thing that pops up with a slit in it (look like a flat head would work) and then theres a 14mm nut around that. i tried turning the nut clockwise thinking it'd pull it up, but nothings happening. what am i doing wrong?

take a picture of your coilovers and it would be easier for us to understand what you are talking about

Is the suspension unloaded when you are making the adjustment, i.e. are the wheels off of the ground?

those are mine, but thats not my pic, i got it offline (my camera is dead) but thats the exact model. and yes i have it up on a jack.
