My hood wont close because the cable and spring are apparently messed up. The spring that should be on the hook part (piece that hooks onto the loop on the hood) of the assembly seems to be missing so it just flops back and forth. What can I do to shut the hood and have it latch till I can get a new spring??

I know where to get a spring....but at this point i cant get the hood to latch shut. I need a trick to get the hood to latch shut till i can get the spring, there has to be a way to get it to shut tight
