Yes, that is definatley fixable. Shouldn't be too hard/ expensive to fix by looking at the size of it. Did you have any kind of insurance from the shipper?

I mean i know it's fixable but without going to the body shop, sorry didnt clarify. No insurance which sucked but o well i was in a rush to get it. If my only option is to take it to the body shop how much do u think they will charge?

Kinda hard to really tell from the pic but is there a flat spot within the dent that is at least 3"? You could try one of those suction cup dent pullers. It's the same thing they use for installing windshields. They have smaller ones but the 3" is the only one that really gets a good grip. I got mine from a tool sale but I know they have 'em at Harbor Freight for less than $5.

metal looks creased, which means you most likely wont be able to just pop it back out. Body shops vary alot, so you'd just have to call.

There might be a flat spot, i'll try the cup dent pullers, thanks for the info.

And the bottom of that area has all this other metal blocking the bottom of the dent so it's hard to push it from the bottom.

If i do take it to the body shop would i expect to pay more than $100? In that case i might as well get a new one...thanks for the replies.

Would try a suction puller, or even popping the hood and trying to push that section out from the opposite side.

ya thats what i tried to explain i cant do there's like ionno how to describe it but the underside of the hood has stuff blocking the opposite side of the dent so i cant get under there unless i can unscrew it.

I take a autobody class, and a good bodyshop should charge less than 100$s easy fix, they use this tool called "electric dent puller" its a wonderfull tool =D but yah I think they would blend that spot of the hood in or repaint the whole thing, just tell them it needs to be restraitned and blend the paint in.

If they use their "electric dent puller" it would mess up the paint? sorry i dont really understand, there's nothing wrong with the paint as it is now, but if thats the case, having to paint it, that's gonna cost quite a bit. thx for the responses.

call around for some paintless dent removal places. some of them might charge you 40-60 to fix.

I worked in body shops for 3 years. The standard body rate is $45+/ hour and refinishing time is $28+/hour. I highly doubt it would be less than $300 to fix. That includes pulling out the dent, priming, prep for paint, paint(most body shops paint the whole hood because it is hard to blend a spot on a without it being extremely noticable) and finally wet-sand and buff. I would take it around to the body shops and get an estimate, which will most likely be free. You can also try to find a paintless dent repair specialist and get an estimate from them. Just go around and ask. An estimate just gives you an idea, it isn't a contract. Remember, you get what you pay for.

If you decide to take my advice and get estimates, post the prices.

I'd say autobody would be on place to look or start in automotive. It wouldn't hurt to look around. I'm giving you a semi high number cuz most bodyshops vary. I hope you get a good estimate. Just see what the body shops say.

yeah i know it's fixable..but i meant on my own, if that was unclear. And the area of and around the dent is pretty flexible..like i can push it down and it'll kinda pop up from the dent but wont stay up so would a suction dent puller work in this case?

i own my own mobile body shop and have been working side by side with one of the best paintless dent removal guys in the world. this guy went to a class in germany for 6 months to learn PDR and i tell u his work is incredible. any PDR guy can easily repair that dent for less than 75$ if u lived around here i would be able to refer him to u but in ur case just look into pdr or a body shop....theres no ****** crease in that hood so w/e that guy said was complete garbage and the guy who works at a shop is rite if u want it dont the hard way its gunna cost over 300$ to blend the paint into the fenders and bumper.
