Default High compression head gasket

I have a built motor with a lovely 8.6:1 compression in it because i was going to go turbo. Now i've abandoned the turbo idea cuz im dirt poor. I will be acquiring the a gsr head. about how many points in compression will this increase? i know it will be more than a b16 head. Basically i want atleast 9.5:1 if that's possible... can i do it with a high compression hg and gsr head?

also, who offeres a high compression head gasket?

A GSR head will add a little over .2 to your compression ratio. A high compression gasket will add .3-.4 to your CR. I'm not sure cometic offers one, but Mugen and Spoon both do. You can also make your own by taking out one layer from a stock gasket. I'd use some sort of copper gasket seal if you do though and make sure the head and the block surfaces are straight.

a gsr head does not add a given amount of comrpession, you have to recalculate the compression based on the volume of the gsr head and the volume of displacement the pistons contribute (towards the combustion chmaber volume).

best idea is to configure c-speed so that you have 8.6:1 with your LS setup, then just change the head to a gsr head. they do all the math for you...
