Default HIDs

I am getting ready to upgrade my halogen lighting to hid lighting. I was looking through ebay and noticed that they were selling hid kits for around $85 + shipping. Anyone have any experience with these? Which would you guys recommend?

hids on ebay are basically the same thing. all made from the same place. the bulbs and ballasts should all be similar. if you live in bay area pm me and ill hook you up and give you a deal.

I know there are a few decent brands, mcolluch( or something) is the best one I know of, but nothing beats a retrofit.

Do it the right way.

If you compare them to OEM, or a retro fit, then yes, they Do suck.

But of course it will be better then the standard halogen.

i put some HID'S from a 745 bmw on my teg, and at first I couldn't see not bright at all. I had to retrofit them and know its great. the same happened with antother teg I had. I would wait and retrofit them. good luck non the less.

i've got some HID's off a toyota sequoia on my teg and they aim down really close to the car, but when you pull up to a wall they make a light flat across it like they are set normally. i think it has to do with the suv sitting higher than my teg...but i'm worried if i aim them up more i will end up blinding people any ideas?

na they're not aiming down. it all has to do with the shape of the cup they sit in. if you have the pack part of the toyota pne take both head lights apart and put the one off the youtas and put them on yours and problem solved.
