Icon2 HID problem

so i just bought and installed a dual beam 8k HID kit for my DB1, installed it had to reverse the polarity but easy no problem. before i had these in my high beams and low beams worked just fine, now my low beams work fine and when i switch to high beams its only sending 6V to my headlights, anyone know what i might need to do so i can have my highs and lows working perfectly?

If you didn't get bi-xenon bulbs then that's why.

And since you had a shop do the work to get their "lifetime warranty" you should be on the phone talking to them should you not?

Then ask to speak to a manager. You paid for a product that may be defective or not installed correctly and you just give up on it? This was the shop you chose after all do to a hob that should have taken you all of 30 minutes to do.

Bi-xenon bulb means you have high and low beams in the same bulb. If you don't use a Bi-xenon bulb in a system that requires it then you get the result that you are experiencing.

i do have a bi xenon bulb, it has the 8k HID for low beams, and then a standard halogen for high beams, but my car for some reason is throwing 6V to the light socket on high beams but is still putting 12V for low beams. doesn't make any sense

Alright man let me break this down for you. A bi-xenon bulb has low and high beams all in the same bulb. So it is simple impossible for you to have a xenon (hid) low beam, and a halogen high beam.

the kit that was purchased for my car, has 2 little ballast side by side, one is halogen and one is xenon..they are made that way solely for being able to pass vehicle state inspections.

Well you got a cheap kit then cause you don't need a balast for halogen bulbs. You only need one balast and one bulb per side for your car.

it has the ballast for the low beam 8k bulb, there's no ballast for the halogen bulb..
