help removing the a/c
I have looked EVERYWHERE on google and many forums and cannot find any write ups regaurding a/c removal. The stupid thing is broken anyways and I do not have the money to repair it so I am just going to take it out. Anyone know of a good write up? Thanks.
uhm, i took mines out last week. I would suggest taking your motor out as the A/C lines are a bit** to take out. Just remove the parts are involved with the a/c like the lines, compressor and such. Remember to let the gas leak out too.
haha, crap i didn't even do that part, my buddy did that for me. I know the lines go in the firewall on the pasegner side, he let the gas out on that side somewhere.
its simple...look by your radiator where they would usually fill it up and just press on the needle inside of it...almost the same as letting air out of your tire...everything else..just follow the lines and see where they go and just unbolt them...took me ten minutes to get everything off

well said, if you really want to you can get under your dash and take the rest of it out. but yeah i have ac on my dc that i just picked up and it's the first car of mine that has working ac. so i'm gonna enjoy it while i can.

alright cool thanks guys. is there anything i need to reloop or plug up or anything? i know you have to loop the power steering so just a question. i'm gunna go get started right now
i looped mine because I didn't have the time. you are supposed to loop with with a resevoir. i guess the air that gets trapped inside isn't good for your steering rack over a period of time or something. plus it still needs to have fluid to stay lubricated. they make kits for it for like $100 (stealthmode) but you can just buy extra long hoses and some clamps and run it from the stock resevoir then fill it up with ps fluid. pretty simple.
anyway i got the a/c out haha thanks for your help guys.
