Help Please.
Hey what's up Honda Tech peeps, I was wondering if you can please help me out. I have a 95 Integra 5spd with a b18b from a 96 Integra everything is obd2a now. My car will not start after installing aftermarket headers. Ive tried damn near everything, I recharged my battery, I changed my distributer, I've cleaned/changed my spark plugs and wires, tested both starter and alternator they came out good, changed my fuel pump and changed my ECU. I honestly don't know what else to do. Before installing my headers I ran my car with open headers just to see what it sounded like, never drove with them off tho, it started up but right when I installed the headers back on complete, my car will just crank but won't start. My 02sensor isn't conected, can't take it off my old headers. I asked my friend if it can be my main relay he said since I installed an ignition switch it by passes it. My gut tells me that it can be the main relay.
Sounds like your not getting spark, reset the ecu just unplug it for 5 mins, then check your firing order with the wires, you just may have installed the distributor 180 deg out, I've done it plenty of times, after market distributors don't gave the irregular key to avoid putting it in 180 out like oem distributors just pop it out and turn the key 180 around and reinstall. Also check your fuses and grounds.
I'd 2nd the distributor 180 out... if not confirm no spark dues the fuel pump prime are you getting fuel into the cylinder. to check that just check the plug after a few cranks it will smell of gas or not.
yea do you smell gas afer a few cranks ? this will confirm you got fuel.
Thank you for your response, I will check. When you say distributer 180 degrees what do mean exactly, what key am I turning? The one that's on the distributer the pin that connects to the motor? Also I do not smell any gas, so in other words Ive had bad luck and bought a bad fuel pump, Nor do I here it prime.
the distributor may not be bad focus on the fuel issue first, if you don't hear it prime then you certainly won't be getting it in the cyl. check your grounds then check the main relay to see if its burnt(fried), also see if fuse #24 or the SRS fuse is blown in the under the dash fuse box.

Sounds like you may have burned a fuse testing the engine with open header. Or he main relay maybe. And its also seems your fuel pump may be dead but i put my guess on a fuse because you said it worked before the header swap. This is why its not really good to start replacing things that dont need to be with out confirming there bad, because now you may have more issues to why its not starting now and not know. Not being harsh but it makes it harder on you in the end. So lets go through to why it would just die after pulling the exhaust manifold off because im willing to bet your fuel pump for one is not just going to die its not common.
