Default Help with Picking New Struts

I have a 1999 Acura Integra GSR with the skunk 2 coilover sleeve set-up. Currently i am running completely stock struts but now the right rear is completely blown. I am just getting into the honda scene (previously into LS1's) so i really have no idea what would best suit my set-up.. From what i have read the Koni Yellows seem to have the best stats as far as the drop i have but apparently arent compatible with my skunk 2s....Also the KYB AGX is another personal choice but from my readings they cant handle the skunk 2s either. So as of now i am up in arms about which struts to buy...Really i see no need to replace just one so a full set is what i will be going with. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Also has anyone had any experience with the new Skunk 2 sport shocks...i would imagine they would work properly with my coilovers being they are the same brand and marketed together lol.

konis are compatible, you just have to use the seats that come with them rather than the custom fit ground control style. either the koni sport for 450 shipped, koni str.t for 300 shipped or possibly the agx if you can get them cheap enough

NO! You must use the Skunk2 adapter ring if you use their sleeves with Koni Sport shocks. DO NOT use the coilovers with the Koni-supplied OE-style spring perches.

Tokico Illuminas would probably work well with the Skunk2 coilovers, or the Koni Sports (my choice) as mentioned. Those will probably be your best choices that will last the longest with stiff coilover springs.

why? i've seen it done. is it just because of the slap risk unseating the clips that hold the seat?

i agree it's worth the money for the proper part, just wonder what you've seen happen

So i would need this adapter ring from skunk 2 i suppose...any idea of where to purchase these and around what they would cost...the koni yellows are my first choice but i want to make sure they will work.

So noone has heard anything about the skunk 2 sport shocks yet?

skunk2 will sell them themselves. it makes using konis safer, considerably so actually. if one was to ever unseat off the koni clip on perches it could spell train wreck. i can't remember what they cost but it's like 40. the agx is an alright shock too but only if you can get them around 300. since they often sell around 400 it's not worth it since koni is 450. call skunk2 tomorrow and ask them about the koni sport adapters

Op do your self a favor and use the correct struts! get the sk2 pro shocks! youl love them! there great the ride is verry stiff and feels real good overall, dont worrie about how the struts drop your ride cause you adjust the drop from the coil overs! i ran the sk2 coil overs on stock struts then when they blew i got the sk2 pro shocks and there great youl never regret it heres how it looks when i finished installing the struts!
