i own a '94 vti-r (GSR) integra with 150,000 kms on the dial. car has always been well looked after, regularly serviced and given a daily dose of vtec.

i noticed that the engine makes a wierd sound, only between 1800 - 2500 rpm or so.. its a sort of metallic ting ting ting ting sound, coming from inside the head.

wondering if anybody knew what it could be?..

my LS did that, if im thinking the same thing. My mechanic friend said I needed a valve adjustment. Check that, and ur oil definitely, maybe an oil change... mine stopped about 200 miles after i did an oil change and filter change. hope this helps.

 

exhaust leak or rattle maybe.. i thought the same thing when i heard my noise.. thought it was something in the head... thoroughly check each connection on your exhaust, gaskets and make sure no bolts are loose or broken
