i dont know what to do , i have a 4 door integra gsr my original plan was to spend 2 k on type r pistons ect. and i lower my mileage and have a tiny bit faster reliable car, but i was thinking i just want to have fun for a while and was thinking of posiibly trying nitrous how much would it cost and which route should i go

 

forget nitrous. go turbo

 

I would save nitrous for the track. IT all depends how much you want to spend. are you planning on dong all the work yourself or have a shop do it? If your going N/A, i think it would be more reliable than boost, because of maintenance issues.

 

well i have no idea how many miles the motor has i picked it the whole engine swap up craigslist for 1k which makes me think it was stolen since the guy was some sleezy tweeked out lookin ****er but anyways thats why i wanted to rebuild the engine cuz i didnt know the mileage but i was thinking every week friday and sat i go cruising in fortcollins with my buds they all drive dsms but all those deisels try racing ya and theyre pretty fast thats why i wanted to do a nice 75 shot and make them look like you know haha lol.... but im going to be doing ALOT of drivin this winter so rebuild might be more senseable and if i did type r internals rebuild its not going to be any faster i heard let me know what ya think sorry thats so long...

 

I know you want your car to last once built so do it right the first time! trust me do your own searching day and night! N.A is fun and reliable but so can turbos or superchargers. if have around $2,000 and want to have a nice fast motor you can go N.A easlily you will net around 190 -210hp dep. on the setup. i liked my gsr when i built it for N.A that was jdm itr pistons sk2 pro1 cams hytech header ect.. got 216hp it felt verry fast even though it had a race tranny but i soon got bored and threw a jrsc on and its a night and day diffrence. So its up to you i would do a compression/leakdown test figure out the motors health as much as you can then if you have good results and the motor seams to not burn much oil you can do a simple turbo setup for less than the $2,000 and have a fun turbo gsr just have it tuned, if it neads a rebuild then id say for the $2,000 you can have the bottom end rebuilt and have the head freshened and maybe have money for cams and a decent header like a dc or hytec rep. but it depends also if your doing the labor or a shop cause labor will cost sum $. gl

thanx one fastgsr thats exactly what i needed to hear, i wanna go n/a for sure now, i wont have enough for cams but the guy doing it said if we did itr build it would feel much faster then he said to save more get it chipped and vtec contr cams and it would be way quick... oh yeah whats a jrsc??? also if i wanted some nitrous in the future what shot would be safe tospray on this set up??

no it wasnt but the throttle cable was cut and the guy who put it in said they usually cut it if its stolen and he must of really wanted this thing gone foor the whole swap to be 1000 but who knows if it is i got a ****in receit he will be busted not me

 

Completely FALSE!!! This would be considered "Receiving stolen property" and you would be in some **** too. You have clearly posted on here thinking that it might be stolen, therefore you are accepting the fact that you could be a fault too.

You can always report the vinn to see if its stolen but you risk having it taken if it is. hopefully its not i get dirt cheap stuff there sometimes. any way use jdm itr pistons they will give a good compression with the gsr head. 11:6, you can find cams cheap all the time hear look into buddyclub spec 3+ ive had great results with them on my n.a gsr, skunk 2 stg 2 would be a good choice for a mild n.a setup. dont get a pretuned/chipped ecu unless your breaking in the motor with it to keep air/fuel ratios safe. or a vtec controller they will not properly run your motor unless your tunner is familiar just get it tuned on the dyno if you want that motor running 100%, a few more bucks for dyno tuning is worth the extra money if you want to keep your motor/$ invesment running properlly, im saying this from experience i did that and the tunner blew my motor cause he wasnt familiar with the vtec controller. get a hondata s100 imo!
I went all motor then i put my jackson suppercharger, the motor is still the same n.a setup but just suppercharged and retuned now, although i had the block sleaved for 150 shot nitrouse i never shot nos on the motor but it helps now that im f.i from the jrsc, but its all in the tunning remember you can go the same route its all up to you.

lol if you get caught with stolen parts in your car, depending on your location you car could be impounded for thirty days and you have to pay for the fees and ****. The other option would be that your car gets crushed GL with your engine, suggest you carfax the vin if its still there.

 

yeah i checked it already im good but im going with a b16 head ctr pistons 80 shot of nitrous ill be runin high 12s cant wait
