Re: !! HELP!! ITR SWAY !!HELP!! (Shin-tegra)
USDM and '96-'97 JDM ITR rear sway = 22mm
'98+ JDM ITR rear sway = 23mm
so you're not going to find the 23mm too often. and the difference isn't very big either, so don't sweat it. the 22mm is more than enough to neutralize the car's handling. and yes, it's almost twice the thickness of the non-Type-R sway bars. BTW at the stealership it's only like $75 or so, plus about $15-$20 for brackets and bar bushings. $100 at the stealership never went so far . . .

if they are mixed in with like random bars from civics and other integras, i believe that the ITR ones will be substantially bigger. and you will know.

Re: (GSRintegra_Bob)
the bars look the same, i had my LS and ITR bar next to each other and they looked the same to me, only difference is the size. Even then the end link bushing is the same size.
If you get the ITR bar make sure you get the ITR bushings and caps.
Your other option is to jsut buy the entire thing mew from the dealer. I paid less than $100 and i made my own beaks/BSQ kit.

The ITR rear sway bar does not bolt up to RS, GSR or LS Chassis. The unibody construction is different.

are you saying a Type R rear sway wont work on a non-type R car? I am just trying to not be confused. Thanks. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 98 Spec R »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Re: (Blu99teg)
The mounting locations are different on the sub frame. The ITR has a completely different rear lower subframe and sway bar mounting position. The ITR swaybar can bolt up with a mounting kit, the beaks kit is the most popular one.

Re: (98 Spec R)
I believe that the USDM non-r-integra comes stock with a 14mm sway bar and the USDM-R comes with a 22mm and the JDM = 23mm. Definately a great upgrade. The difference is unmistakable compared to the type -r ones. IMO you cannot feel any difference between the 22(which I have on my car) and the 23( my boy has) riding in both leads me to the conclusion that you can't feel 1 mm but hey you can say mine is bigger than yours !

Re: (StevieB18c)
oh yeah you need a beaks or bsq kit to mount. I personally went with the bsq kit and then you need to do a little drilling and some itr bolts(well any bolts that are the correct length) and youve got yourself a stiffer backend.

You can go to my website at http://www.geocities.com/bretq....html (mirror site at http://www.geocities.com/bretq....html) for complete step-by-step instructions (with photos) for installing the ITR rear swaybar. My website also contains a full parts list with part numbers.
You will need a mounting/reinforcement kit to properly mount the ITR rear swaybar on the subframe. You can go to http://www.geocities.com/bretq/mounting_kit.html for further information (or my mirror site at http://www.geocities.com/bretq2/mounting_kit.html).
Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I will be glad to help you out.

Re: !! HELP!! ITR SWAY !!HELP!! (Integra SiR-G)
What's the name of the junk yard in el monte. I want the front ITR bar. I already have rear USDM ITR 22mm one on my 94 ls with a 22mm front. This probably means neutral to slight oversteer. I need a bigger front sway to get more neutral. Thx.

Re: !! HELP!! ITR SWAY !!HELP!! (Integra SiR-G)
the jdm 98 spec 23mm itr rear sway is 19% stiffer than the usdm 22mm itr rear sway
so it does make a difference.
Plus, you can pick them both up for about the same price.
