Default HELP! Integra won't start!

I have a 5-speed '92 integra LS. Pretty much all stock. One night, my integra decided not to start on me. I turned the ignition, and it gave me one click, but engine didn't turn over. Ended up having to push-start the integra to get it to run. Next morning, I tried to turn on my integra, and the same problem occured. I tried to jumper-cable it, but didn't work. Push start is the only way I can get it to run.
So what could be the problem? I'm suspecting it's my starter. If not, what could it be?

it could be. But first check all ignition components to include if you're getting spark and fuel or not. Then again, since you were able to get it started by pushing, obviously you're getting fuel Does the car ever die on you sporadically? Or is it just the problem with starting it?

yo i bet you its a quick fix

pop the hood and grab something metal and mabye evne a hammer and have ur friend sit in the car and try to turn over the ignition and you tap the starter with the hammer

should turn right over, but beware that it may go bad again,, integra starters have been known to seize like that

p.s. just dont smash you starter, tap it firm but not over kill

could be a bad clutch switch (hint for all you security freaks) try taking a jumper wire with the ingition in the run position and THE CAR IN NEUTRAL!!!! and jump the little male spade on the starter body with the heavy gauge power wire for the starter. If it starts you either have a bad clutch switch or some other electrical problem along the way. If not buy a new starter.

Actually, the only other problems that I've been experiencing prior to the car not starting, is that while I'm driving, for a split second, my headlights would dim, and my radio would shut off. And after that split second, everything goes back to normal (radio back on, headlights lights-up back to normal). I just picked up a brand new starter. Will be installing it tomarrow. Hopefully, that's the answer to all my problems.

Ok...if it tends to want to die out sporadically, check all ignition systems components. Check your battery....or test it to see if its at the right charge. You may just need a new one. Replacing that will solve those "electrical" problems at least IF the charge is low. Also check out your alternator and its belt. If its not doing its job in keeping your battery charged that could attribute to why your lights are dimming every now n then. It could also mean its going out too. Also...when was the last time the plug wires were changed? How do your spark plugs look? When was the last time your distributor cap and rotor was replaced? Are you running an external coil system like MSD? I had a similar problem where the car kept dying out. It wasn't the starter. It turned out to be the distributor cap and rotor. Everything else worked fine....but that took me a long while of troubleshooting to find that out. But what I would recommend is when troubleshooting...always check the parts that are "cheapest" in nature to replace first Because...if you bought an otherwise expensive part and that didn't solve your problem....you're out of some money that could have been spent elsewhere

the same thing happened to my integra, it turned out to be that my starter wire was corroding and melting away and so it lost contact with metal and thats why it wouldnt start. you could try checking that.

Problem solved! It was my rubber grommet on my clutch peddle. God, I was so blind. I noticed a little piece of blue rubber on my driver's side carpet, but didn't think much of it. I was 3/4 done removing the old starter. Went into the integra to grab the new one, and took a 2nd notice to the rubber. I finally decided to examine it. *Slaps forehead.* Borrowed a rubber grommet from my eg6, connected the battery and connectors, turn the ignition, and *Tantatada,* she fired right up. A good Sunday well wasted.
Replaced my battery today, cause I found out the old one wasn't holding an appropriate charge, and luckily, I was able to return the starter for a full refund (most places down here won't refund an electrical part). Anyways, thanks for all y'all insights.
