so i just bought an integra and the previous owner said that the car was not running because of the fact that the car would jump time.he said that each time it skipped time it would run for about 20 minutes and jump time. he said that it loked like the exhaust cam was sticking.i was wondering if any enlightenment on this was possible? what might cause that to happen? could it just be a bad belt tensioner?i mean the belt still seemed tight when it jumped time? your help would be greatly appreciated guys. thanks in advance.

i have never heard of a cam sticking. and jumping time, i can only imagine has to do with an improperly installed timing belt.

 

yea that was im thinking too. im mean i have heard of warped cams but even then i don't think that a warped came would stick?
