Hey guys, just about to install my skunk 2 intake manifold on my 94 gsr and i picked up a type r throttle cable to keep my engine bay clean. honastly i have never had to install one and just wanted to know how hard it was to do? any help would be great. thanks

 

You need a side pull, pulley. The stock GSR pulley pulls from the top and not the side like the Type R. Thus, you've gotta have a B16, LS or Type R pulley or throttle body.

 

i know i do, already have an ls and planning on getting it boored out. just wanted to know how hard it was going to be to change the cable itself?

 

pretty easy, just unhook it from the bracket on the IM, take it off the throttle body, out of the bracket, twist it by the firewall and then unhook it from the pedal (similar connection as the TB). Takes about 5 minutes to switch them out from one to the other.
