HELP HELP: My nitto 450 205/40/16, has CRACKS on sidewall.
Hey guys, i need help, tell me what should i do??
my Nitto 450 205/40/16 tires has cracks on the interior of the sidewalls.....and there's still around 60% thread to it...
Should i buy new tires? or just stick with these for now? Will this damage my rims?

I have these tires as well...they suck construction wise. I have at least two bubbles on my side walls and i run 205/45s. I will never buy Nittos again. I suggest you take it back to where you bought your tires and tried to get them to replace them. They should be under warranty. Unfortunately I bought mine out of state and there is no Discount Tires in my area.

Are you guys sure about this???
I have had my Nitto NT450's for about 25k now, and they have been cracked on the sidewalls for about as long as I can remember - these damn crappy tires last thats for sure.
I would guess that they have about 50% tread left, but i doubt the place i bought them from, (2yrs ago) is going to replace them. I've done a few auto-x and they just get chewed out on the sides. I thought this was normal???
Let me know if this is dangerous cuz I run at high speeds a lot!!!

I have these on my 90 Integra. I think my steering wheel now vibrate b/c of these tires.
Get these replaced if you can afford to.
Thead on these tires will last forever. Put it another way - rubber compound sucks a$$.

I had the 450's, and they also cracked on the sidewalls, with ~ 40% of the tread left. Put the worst one(s) on the back of the car immediately. I drove them like this for 6 mos. with no problems. They never leaked air or anything. However, it doesn't take a structural engineer to recognize that this compromises the tire. I just replaced the old Nitto's with some Yokohama's, and I couldn't be happier.
By the way, this cracking usually results from under-inflation and aggressive driving/cornering. When the tires are under-inflated and you corner hard, the tire has a tendency to roll over onto the sidewall, putting quite a lot of stress on it. So, it cracks. I've heard many cases of Nitto's doing this (mainly the 450's), and I've also heard of some Toyo's cracking, as well.
