Default Help with headlights... PLEASE!!

I need some advice with my headlights.

I own a 95 Teg, I converted the body to a 1998-2001 look. The last thing I changed was the headlights. I couldn't find any used stock ones for a good price so I bought a pair of brand new halo projection headlights from eBay. They are actually not bad, they fit great, they are built pretty solid, halos seem to be of very high quality and I really like the look of the black housing.

The only problem I had was that the headlights were shooting a bit low. I need to get them to point up a bit for better visibility at night, especially in this Colorado winter. Since I didn't have any experience with headlights, I asked a friend how to adjust them. He showed me the adjuster "wheel" and how to adjust the projection with a phillips screwdriver. So we got on it, spinning, spinning and spinning away and..... nothing. They wouldn't move up or down... ??? Am I missing something here?

Is there a different way to adjust these things?
If not, can I adjust them manually, meaning, tear the thing apart and "glue" the projector in the position I want?

Also, are these aftermarket projection lights usualy reliable to use with a high-temp (5000) HID conversion?

Any advice will help... Thank you in advance!

yeah, those dials don't work sometimes... one option would be to take it apart and put it back together. another would be to place washers under the screws that mount the assembly to the car... it'll raise the lights, slightly, but not too much... i had to do this to my car when i did a HD retrofit. as for your HID conversion question, you're on your own. i used projectors from a A6 in a regular housing.

what wont move up or down? the light or the bubble? try spinning the other way. the bubble moves very slowly and the lightly moves so little you cant even tell. shint it at a wall 15 feet away and you should see the light moving very slowly

The projection bubble won't move. We put the car 6 feet in front of a wall and spinned the wheel both ways for a while and nothing happened.

I also got the feeling that maybe the wheel is fake and it's not hooked up to do anything. That's the "off-road, show use only" part of the aftermarket deal....

Thanks for your help, any further advice from anyone is welcome and appreciated.

hope this helps, There are 2 guages that help you align it just right.

1. The gauge with the bubble in it is your vertical just-ment
2. The gauge behind the resoivor is the horizontal just-ment (has a spring in it)

Thank you. I will try to mess with it again tonight, I did something like this two days ago and nothing happened but I will have to dedicate a little more time to it tonight.

That's what I would do, if the adjustment screws failed on me.
