Default Help on basic modifications for 90 Acura

I have a 1990 Integra GS 1.8L 5spd with 118k. The engine is in great condition but lacks a little in the pickup department. Im looking for the best option for increasing power and would like certain brands or parts reccomendations if possible to go from the stock 130Hp to hopefully around 160Hp at best. Im new at this so easy installation will help to. My budget is around $400. Im thinking of starting with the intake but am confused with so many brands to choose from. Thanks for the help.

400 bucks to make 30+ horsepower is going be hard as hell but if u start with the basic header/intake/exhuast thats hould have some gain.. nothing BIG .. maybe if u changed cams etc.. but with that budget i say Save up for Turbo and then u will be able to increase HP way more.

werd. 400 bucks won't get u much. i would save and buy something more worth it than little things. save another 1k and u can put a b16 in it or something.

400 bux ...

130 hp = like 90whp + 400 bux = 93.00000000000000001 whp

400 bux if u want be faster... save up for turbo or somethin... if u wanna work on somethin wit that 400 bux u can try suspension that may still cost u a bit more then that...

bolt ons will get u 10 whp or around and cost u around 1k+

but IMO i would go 400 bux in my little 'ld piggy bank and start workin on that drivin ... launchin and stuff like that... driver cant compensate for speed when he cant handle wat he has...

$400, Like others have said.Save up for a turbo.
1)I would go out get a short ram intake(i remove my head light at races, this is why i don't buy C.A.I.'s)
2)Get a simple header.Check EBAY or your local parts trader. You can usally find DC sport headers for $100
3) witch I should of wrote down as (1) because its the one that you will keep longer than the other parts.Get a nice exhaust.
After that you can alway bottle feed it,until you have enough money for a nice turbo.

exhaust IMO is basically just a big *** fartin noise that helps them gain like 2-3whp and costs them over 200 dollars in stupid tix for there big *** can hangin out there back and makin noises that COPS LOVE!! espically when they havnt met thier quota

what about intake mods after turbo or superchargers? I heard that makes significant gains.
