Do anyone know why when i park my car sometime i can get out of park to drive. unless i unlock the saftey switch with the key then go to nuteral and start the car up. and when i park the car i cant get my key out.. the light on the gauge cluster incated that im still in drive "D" but im really in park. i would have to turn off and on a couple of time until the light on come to Park "P" then i will be able to removed my time.. PLEASE HELP.. THANK YOU

 

Sounds like neutral safety switch issue. Maybe the switch is going bad, or could be a problem with the wireing.

 

where is that located? under the steerling wheel or is it by the shift boot...

 

Every one I have ever seen is on the trans. The shifter cable should attatch to it. Look at your trans while someone shifts it from gear to gear, look for the moving part, that should be it.

 

its a piece down in the shifter thats needs to be replaced...
