hey ppl, i got my car electrics redone the other day (cause the fog light wont go on) and now the antena pops up when im listening 2 cds for some reason

any ideas how 2 fix this?


car: integra 98 coupe Ti DC-1

 

this is really anoying cause now i have 2 switch off the sound system in the car 2 park cause the garage is 2 low 4 the antena 2 go up

 

There's a motor under the trunk floorboard right below the antena. If u can get to that just disconnect it and the antenna won't raise at all. It pretty much ruins ur radio reception but who listens to radio these days n e ways haha. If u can't get to the motor just look it up further but that's what I did.

 

on the usdm integra, this is not out of the norm. the antenna stays up, even while listening to cd's.

your antenna never used to go up while listening to cd's?

if you don't listen to the radio a lot, do what a lot of us americans do and just unplug the harness for the antenna so it never goes up. there are pleanty of threads on how to do that, if you decide to go that route. not difficult at all.

 

ty 4 the tips, i think ill just disconnect it cause i never use the radio anyway
