i just bought a integra ls 97, the only problem i have with the car is when im in first gear as soon as i hit aobut 5500 or 6000 rpm, the rpm just revs up real quick to 9000rpm or something and it feels like its not actually making the car go any faster. it juss feels like the engine is reving up but the its not giving the power. anyone know what could be wrong with it? please post back with info. thanks

slipping clutch?

 

If its auto then you are srewd because its your tranny. And if its manual its most likely your clutch. And by the way integras rev to 6,500 or 6,600.
