Default Help

Lately I have noticed that every time I put my car into gear, I hear a faint sqeaking noise coming from the engine. My transmission is an automatic. Does this sound like a tranny going bad? I have no clue what it could be. I am taking it to the dealer this weekend but I would like to have some input on what it could be so they don't dick me over. Thanks

Default Re: Help (Teken)

I just noticed it today when pulling in and out of my garage. Granted I did wash my car just minutes before, so maybe the water still under the car caused it. It is an automatic like I said so the only times I put it into gear are at such low speeds that I can hear it. It does not appear when I am driving or when I am in park. Just in Drive and Reverse, when the brakes have been applied. The AC was not turned on at the time and it does not vary in tone with RPM. And as I said, I just noticed it today which is in the hot weather. I never heard it before today.
