Heater Problems
so i have been researching and cannot find a real answer. I have a 95 Integra gsr with a 99 b18c1 and my heat stays cold until under acceleration and then i let off and it goes cold again. I changed the thermostat and i attempted to bleed the air out. When i had the radiator cap off i noticed the coolant was not going down in the radiator and also the heater hoses were not getting hot. I tried explaining the best i could so if i could get some sort of help Id appreciate it. Thanks in advanced
If heater hoses are not getting hot, check the water valve, simple way is to remove it and just install a connector in it's spot.
The other possibility a blocked/restricted heater core, to check, disconnect both lines and connect up a water hose to it and turn on the water to check for flow.
I am not sure what you mean by "When i had the radiator cap off i noticed the coolant was not going down in the radiator" the coolant level in the rad should not change untill engine temp. comes up, and then it will "rise". 94

ok did not realize that about the coolant level. my friend took the car to get tires put on at school and he say that the heater is working well now. so ill just keep driving it and monitoring it. If it stays cold ill try to see if the heater core is clogged thanks.
