Some of the newer LED offerings (as in, released in the past 6-8 months) look fairly promising in halogen projector housings. At least they do when replacing H7 bulbs, which tend to have decent projectors to start with. Integra 9006 projectors unfortunately aren't all that great. And to change out the projectors you have to take the headlights all apart and cut off (it doesn't just unbolt or anything) the original projector.

This is realistically the best you can get without cutting up the factory headlights, and it still requires opening the headlights to replace the fresnel projector lenses. Sanding the insides of the headlights like that guy did is pointless, but the HID conversion and clear lens mod seems to work pretty well.

I remember baking hesdlights on my mk4 supra and my sc300. Feel too old for that now
I will look at the clear lens mod closely to see if feasible with little work

My original HID kit that I installed way back in 2002 using the stock Integra projectors was just total junk in terms of output. And this was a relatively high quality (for the time) kit using all Philips components including 85122 bulbs and LVQ-212 ballasts. It threw most of the light out onto the ground right in front of the car, with little light making it out to the cutoff. Clear lenses may help a bit, but you're still limited with how the stock projector reflector bowl directs the light out.

Another option is to convert to 9012 HIR bulbs, which have about 80% more light output than regular 9006 halogen bulbs. However lifespan will be shorter than regular 9006.
Only way to get longer lifespan is to convert to HID or LED. The first Philips bulbs I used with my HID projector retrofit were in the car for 13 years before I replaced them, and they were still working when I pulled them out.

Mustang, GT or not, with fog lights with LED bulbs passed me up on the highway last night. My truck has morimoto d2s projectors and I have the OR Town LED fog lights. I turned off my lights and his **** could not compare. I died laughing so hard...sorry not sorry.
I have the Morimoto D2S projectors in my 540i and they are amazing. Pull up next to pretty much anybody and you can't tell they even have their lights on, and the high beams are pretty good at getting people who drive around with their brights on to turn them off.
Sort of, you can use a nail clipper to trim the plastic to match the 9006 bulb and it will fit in the housing without issues
The same can be done with 9011 bulbs for replacing the 9005 high beams too
