Default The headlight willickers?

Hey guys I drive a 91 Integra GS. lately I will get in the car to take off at night and my head lights don't want to turn on. I have seen many threads that say to check my bulbs and fuses for the headlights however I don't feel that is the problem and here's why. The lights won't turn on when I turn the switch on the end of turn signal the first time but will sometimes turn on if I keep turning the switch on and off slowely. The other night they didn't want to turn on at all so I just put my high beams on to get back however once home I turned off the high beams and my regular light were just magically working. Doesn't seem like a fuse or the lights wouldn't work at all right? The other thing that strikes me as interesting is that sometimes I flip the switch for lights and you hear a very small click like a relay working other times there is no sound at all. Could it be a relay or ground? Possible just a dirty switch? Any one have a recommendation on what I could check? The high beams and fogs work fine it's just my regular light not coming on all the time.

It could be the combination switch going bad.

Okay but if my combination switch was going bad wouldn't things like my turn signals not work? And when I go to turn on the lights with the combination switch the lights come on on my cluster so its still turning on and off other things just not the headlights.

I read that you could clean the combination switch contacts so I did that today and my lights seem to be working. We will see if they continue to work because in the past they have worked for a few days and then not wanted to again later on. The only other question I can ask is what is tied into the headlights? I know there is a fuse in the under hood fuse box and I checked that along with any other light related fuses in my under dash fuse box. Are there any relays maybe? I also heard that the ICU (not ecu) may be tied into the headlights somehow but is anyone able to actually confirm that? I know I have some signs of a ICU going bad (random ding sounds, no back defrost, no intermittent wipers) but would that cause headlight related problems? Thanks for your help
