Open your hood and prop it open.

See the flat metal panel immediately behind the headlight glass? It has the rubber bump stops for the hood.

You'll notice there are three brackets hanging off the top of that flat metal panel. They have bolts in them, and are what hold the headlight assembly onto the metal panel.

Immediately outboard of the OUTER bracket is a small hole in the metal bar. If you peek inside that hole, you'll see a sort of square funnel. Stick a Phillips screwdriver in that square funnel. Not the very largest Phillips, but the size below that. The screwdriver will engage with gear teeth at the bottom of the funnel. This is the HORIZONTAL (left-to-right) adjustment.

Moving inboard, find the inboard rubber bump-stop. Immediately behind that is another small hole. Down that hole is the square funnel for the VERTICAL adjustment. Use the Phillips again.

If you run out of vertical adjustment before the lights point properly, then somebody has pushed the headlight too far to the rear before tightening the bolts on the three top brackets. Loosen the bolts and allow the assembly to come forward a bit. Re-tighten, then try again with the adjustment.

If moving the headlight forwards results in the top of the headlight too far forwards to fit flush with the front of the hood, or if the light begins to interfere with the bumper, then the car's been in an accident, there are aftermarket parts involved, or somebody's really been messing with the body-panel alignment.
