Headers question
If you don't wan't to give me an answer, don't post worthless things like "here we go again". I'm sure there was a time where you didn't know the difference.
And I probably should just google it or something, but its much easier for me to understand from other people.

the reason he said here we go again is becuz this has been covered 5023948230948 times...and searching would yield the answer you are looking for

wtf do you mean "what makes one a 4-2-1 and the other a 4-1"!??
4-2-1 -> 4 pipes that go into 2 pipes that go into 1 pipe
4-1 -> 4 pipes that go into 1 pipe
which one is better? well, that's up to you and what you want out of your car. don't expect to be spoonfed this info.

there was a time when we didn't know, but that's exactly right...looking for yourself is the best way for YOU to learn.

To attempt to answer your question, I understand that a 4-2-1 makes a bit more low end than a 4-1 header. Notice most high end headers are 4-1? They're built for midrange and top end. Sorry to not have anything SOLID, but that's the best I understand.

Read these articles, they discuss everything from 4-2-1/4-1, effects from bigger diamter, longer tubes, sequentially paired primaries, collector size differences, "stepped" header and its effects of reversion, and a lot more.

they both add power, but each is designed to get more power at different rpm ranges. get a good researched header and it'll do you good. doesn't matter if it's name brand, as long as it was designed well. a no name 4-2-1 well designed will make better numbers than a 4-1 that was slapped together.
